📌 Tools of Resistance: Zines
Weekend edition! Today we’re learning about making, reading, and distributing zines.
What is a zine, anyway
Zines (short for "magazines" or "fanzines") are self-published, small-circulation booklets or magazines, often made with DIY techniques.
Zines can be powerful tools for political activism. They can raise awareness, share personal stories, critique power structures, create a platform for marginalized voices, promote activism, and combine political and artistic expression.

How to Resist: the mini-zine
Mini-zines, 8-page booklets made from a single piece of 8.5 x 11” printer paper, are easy to print, fold, and distribute at political actions, local gatherings, and even surreptitiously at work, school, doctor’s offices, and cafes.

Share your zine!
Wow! You did it! Congratulations on making a zine! Leave a link to your zine in the comments below so we can admire and learn from it!
