Not objectively presenting the facts of the shooting of Renee Good--with all the misrepresentations, misinterpretations, and manipulations being spread online about the context, law (in particular), and complex specifics--will result in greater likelihood of other activists getting into similar binds that could become acutely dangerous.
The conflations online of ICE operations with the specious administration statements make that possibility even more likely, with lesser informed activists making risky choices.
Some of those are intentionally misleading, intended to have violent and tragic outcomes to divide our citizenry and provoke further violence and the like.

I strongly suggest you read Jay Kuo's piece from today in The Big Picture (https://open.substack.com/pub/thinkbigpicture/p/ice-noem-dangerous-playbook?utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=post%20viewer). It does the best breakdown I've seen yet of analyzing the DHS response, the lies, the intentional cover-up, etc. You are absolutely right about the intent of their statements. They are trying to break free from any accountability.
